Van stock is invisible to the office

See which technician holds each part and separate general van stock from inventory allocated to a specific repair job.

Returns and damaged parts distort on-hand counts

Record warehouse returns, supplier returns, damaged units, and losses as distinct inventory events instead of editing totals.

Frequently asked questions

Can PorterBase track parts ordered for a specific appliance repair job?

Yes. Add a Job ID to a purchase-order line or assign available stock as a Job Part. PorterBase follows that part through receiving, technician pickup, and installation.

Can I see parts stored in technician vehicles?

Yes. Technician inventory is tracked separately from warehouse stock, including general Van Stock and parts reserved for a specific job.

Does it support partial receipts and partial installations?

Yes. A purchase order can be Partially Received, and a multi-unit technician assignment can be Partially Used until every assigned unit is installed or returned.
