Warehouses and locations
A warehouse is a physical stock-holding site. A location is a named place inside that warehouse, such as A-1, Back Shelf, or Receiving. Locations belong to one warehouse and cannot be reused across warehouses.
Add a warehouse
- 1Open Warehouses.
- 2Select Add Warehouse.
- 3Enter a recognizable name and optional address details.
- 4Open the new warehouse to add locations.
Add storage locations
- 1Open a warehouse and select Add Location.
- 2Enter a short location name or code.
- 3Repeat for each shelf, bin, cage, receiving area, or other place your team needs to distinguish.
Choose a naming system before entering many locations. Consistent codes such as A-01, A-02, and B-01 are easier to scan and sort.
Print location labels
- 1Open the warehouse and select Print Labels.
- 2Choose Letter or A4 paper and the number of labels per page.
- 3Review the preview and select Print.
- 4Attach each QR label to its matching storage location.
Move stock
Use the transfer action when the physical stock moves between warehouses or locations. A transfer records both sides of the movement so the transaction history remains complete.
